Frequently Asked Questions

  • We assure you that protecting your data is our top priority. To ensure the confidentiality and integrity of your information, we've implemented several measures, including SSL communication, AWS data servers for hosting, and best practices in data storage.

SSL, or Secure Sockets Layer, is a protocol that establishes an encrypted link between a web server and a web browser. Any data transmitted between our servers and your device is encrypted, making it more difficult for unauthorized individuals to access and interpret the information.

In addition to SSL, we also follow best practices for data storage, which include limiting access to data on a need-to-know basis, regularly monitoring and reviewing our security protocols, implementing strong password policies, and using multi-factor authentication when possible.

Caddy uses Amazon Web Services (AWS) data centers for hosting. AWS data centers are monitored by 24×7 security, biometric scanning, video surveillance, and more.

We understand that your data is sensitive and valuable to your business, and we are committed to taking all necessary steps to protect it. Please reach out to us if you have any further questions.

  • Client data is owned by clients and can be exported during use of the platform.

  • No, because in order to actually set up and be able to use Caddy, it requires our implementation team to work with you and your team to build out an environment tailored to your operations. Without this, you would not be able to use the platform nor get a true sense of the platform.

With that said, we are seeing a lot of great excitement for Caddy and our implementation waitlist continues to grow quickly so we are only able to prioritize implementation resources for paid clients at this time.

  • Our pricing is open and transparenton our website because we’ve invested in software for our team too.

We don’t like buyer friction or surprises when it comes to pricing either.

We also offer clients an additional 15% discount on 2-year prepaid subscription terms.

  • Yes, we offer flexible payment plans to help manage your cash flow. While our standard contracts are billed annually, we offer a two-installment payment option for qualifying one-year contracts and 2-year prepaid contracts.

  • Flexible payment plans are available for:

    • One-Year Contracts: Must have an annual contract value (ACV) of at least $5000.

    • 2-Year Prepaid Contracts: Must have a total value of at least $10,000 after the 15% discount.

In addition, all qualifying contracts must:

    • Commit to onboarding within 30 days of contract signing.

    • Agree to split the payment into two equal installments: the first upon signing and the second 30 days later.

    Example:

    • One-Year Contract: If your annual fee is $6000, you can pay $3000 upfront and $3000 the following month.

    • 2-Year Prepaid Contract: If your 2-year prepaid total is $10,000 after discount, you can pay $5,000 upfront and $5,000 the following month.

  • Subscription fees will include a 3% adjustment upon each renewal. This reflects normal inflation and rising operating costs, and it ensures Caddy remains sustainable so we can continue supporting your business for the long run.

  • The 3% adjustment applies at each renewal:

    • Annual contracts → the 3% adjustment applies every year when the contract renews.

    • 2-year contracts → your price is locked for the full 2-year term, and the 3% adjustment only applies when the contract renews after the 2 years. It does not compound annually during your 2-year agreement.

  • The 3% renewal adjustment allows us to:

    • Stay sustainable and reliable – ensuring we’re here to support you long-term.

    • Invest in product development – so we can deliver new features and improvements faster.

    • Provide predictability – with transparent, modest increases that help your finance team plan and budget with confidence.

  • Many customers choose a 2-year prepaid contract, which:

    • Locks in today’s pricing for the full term.

    • Ensures the 3% adjustment does not apply until renewal, even if your contract spans multiple years.

    • Provides a 15% discount for prepayment, maximizing savings.

  • No company can be everything to everyone, so we created this 2-page guide to help you determine whether we would be a great fit.

  • No — Caddy does not currently integrate with QuickBooks Online or other accounting systems.

Caddy is intentionally focused on production, inventory, and traceability workflows on the floor — not accounting or ERP functions.

Most of our customers continue to run accounting separately and use Caddy as the system of record for operations and compliance, not finance.

  • Because integrations would force Caddy to become something it’s not.

We’ve seen too many owner-led food manufacturers struggle with tools that try to do everything and end up being adopted by no one.

    Caddy is designed to:

    • Be used daily by operators

    • Keep records audit-ready

    • Reduce operational risk without months-long ERP projects

That focus requires trade-offs — and integrations are one of them.

  • Yes.

Caddy supports clean exports of records and inventory data that customers use for:

    • Accounting reconciliation

    • Audits

    • Internal reporting

    • Sharing with accountants or consultants

You stay in control of how data flows downstream.

  • Because for many owner-led manufacturers:

    • The biggest risk isn’t accounting

    • It’s production living in people’s heads, paper, or spreadsheets

    • And audits, recalls, or growth exposing those gaps

Caddy helps teams get operations under control first, without adding unnecessary complexity.

  • For most teams, no — because accounting already runs separately from daily operations.

Caddy replaces how production, inventory, and traceability are managed on the floor.

Accounting systems are typically updated using summaries, not live production data.

    That means teams continue to:

    1) Run day-to-day operations in Caddy

    2) Export or reference clean records as needed

    3) Share rollups with their accountant or finance system on a weekly or monthly basis

This is how many food manufacturers already operate today — even when integrations exist.

Caddy removes spreadsheets, paper logs, and reconciliation headaches without forcing operators to think about accounting.

If your process requires real-time financial syncing or operators to manage accounting data, Caddy may not be the right fit — and we prefer to surface that early.

Feeling the pressure? Let’s sanity-check fit.

We’ll tell you quickly whether Caddy makes sense for your operations — and just as clearly if it doesn’t.
